Binance Labs announced its support for GOMBLE, a South Korean gaming studio that is using blockchain technology to create casual games. Binance Labs is investing as part of GOMBLE’s initial fundraising round that will assist GOMBLE in releasing its first mobile game, RumbyStars, and growing its platform using a gaming-as-a-service (GaaS) model. GOMBLE is based on blockchain technology game developer and an affiliated company of 111Percent, a South Korean publisher of casual mobile games.

GOMBLE Advances Blockchain Gaming and NFT Compatibility

The aim of GOMBLE, a blockchain-based creator of casual games, is to provide global casual players with a distinctive gaming experience that includes sustainable reward systems. By creating a mobile-based blockchain, the company also hopes to enhance NFT compatibility. The core team, led by Jihoon Byun, a former COO of 111Percent, has a wealth of expertise in game creation and publication as well as accomplishments in Web2 and Web3 at organizations like Google, SK Telecom, Kakao Brain, and cryptocurrency trading platforms. It is anticipated that GOMBLE’s strategy would accelerate the use of blockchain technology in the gaming sector.

The investing and acceleration arm of Binance, Binance Labs, has made a financial investment in the blockchain game developer GOMBLE. GOMBLE intends to utilize the funding to develop and release RumbyStars, its first mobile game, as well as to broaden its gaming platform by utilizing a game-as-a-service (GaaS) model.

Forecasts from the industry anticipate that by 2027, the market for casual games would reach a value of $24.97 billion. Because of this, the market for Web3 casual games also has a lot of room for expansion. With an emphasis on fair tokenomics and stable governance, GOMBLE seeks to translate its successful Web2 gaming model to Web3. Winning tournaments will provide players the chance to accumulate a governance token called $CRT. NFTs, tournament tickets, and in-game goods may then be purchased for $CRT.

GOMBLE to Launch RumbyStars Game in Southeast Asia in Q2 2023

In Q2 2023, Southeast Asia will see a soft launch of GOMBLE’s RumbyStars game. Later, as it develops its RumbyWorld platform for NFT and GameFi projects to make customized games, it will expand to additional markets. According to GOMBLE CEO Jihoon Byun, the company intends to use simple, informal games to appeal to non-gamers throughout the world. GOMBLE is committed to providing gamers all around the world with an engaging and diversified gaming experience, beginning with RumbyStars.
