Square Enix has partnered with Web3 infrastructure provider Elixir Games to introduce blockchain gaming to the mainstream. While specific details of the collaboration have not been disclosed, Elixir hosts traditional and Web3 games on its platform and provides Web3 distribution features such as NFT sales and marketplaces for partnered games. With this partnership, Square Enix is expected to leverage Elixir's features to launch games on its platform. Elixir CEO Carlos Roldan said the partnership brings the company closer to mass adoption of Web3 gaming.
