Bankman-Fried is charged with fraud and conspiracy, accused of misappropriating billions of dollars from FTX customers through Alameda. However, during the cross-examination, Bankman-Fried frequently responded with "I don't recall" when asked about details related to his time as CEO of FTX.
When asked if he recalled a forged balance sheet he ordered former Alameda CEO Caroline Ellison to create, he replied, “I don't recall whether I saw this.”
The government highlighted his lack of memory and attempted to challenge his credibility. Bankman-Fried's defense team previously argued that FTX's collapse was due to a combination of market conditions and startup mistakes. SBF also revealed that he had intended to sell FTX to a crypto exchange like Binance from the onset. The trial continues as the jury prepares to decide Bankman-Fried's fate.
