Prediction markets platform Polymarket has partnered with daily fantasy sports operator PrizePicks to introduce event-based wagering within the PrizePicks app. The collaboration allows users to make predictions on sports, entertainment, and cultural outcomes.

The partnership coincides with Polymarket’s reentry into the U.S. market, marking its push to expand regulated prediction trading for American users.

PrizePicks said it will integrate Polymarket’s event contracts into its platform and is positioned to offer CFTC-permitted derivatives through partnerships with federally regulated exchanges.

Polymarket operates on the Polygon blockchain, enabling decentralized and transparent market operations without centralized intermediaries. The platform leads the sector in trading volume and total markets.

PrizePicks CEO Mike Ybarra said the partnership will expand the company’s reach into new states and attract additional users. He emphasized the curation of markets that are fair, compliant, and aligned with player interests.

The collaboration follows Polymarket’s acquisition of QCX, a licensed derivatives exchange and clearinghouse, which set the stage for its U.S. comeback.

Academic reports have raised concerns about wash trading across prediction markets, but both companies have focused on regulatory alignment as they expand access. The integration is expected to bring millions of fantasy users into event-based markets.
