Powering Up: The Urgent Demand for Sustainable Mobility Charging Infrastructure

As an EV driver on a business trip, you need reliable charging options. Imagine using an app to locate and reserve the best charger near your destination. You can pre-calculate charging time, ensuring a safe trip back. Arrive, charge, and pay through the app hassle-free.

Starting September 2023, the MOBIX app will launch Park & Charge, allowing EV drivers to reserve and pay for private charging points. This expands the charging infrastructure and adds up to 10 chargers to existing public stations.

MOBIX Park & Charge has a caveat - due to the variety of charging hardware and standards, users must actively participate by being present to start and end the charging session, or delegate the task to someone else. This personal touch adds safety and reliability to the charging process, making it more like a classifieds transaction. In a world that is becoming increasingly automated, the human factor in transactions is crucial for safety and trust.

MOBIX Park & Charge will launch at IAA Mobility 2023 and is fully compliant with GAIA-X privacy standards, with Datarella involved in the GAIA-X mobility project, moveID. The non-public B2B version of the MOBIX app will also include GAIA-X-compliant SSI features developed by moveID project members. For more information on the B2B version, follow moveID on Twitter or contact the communications team directly. Read more here
