Beta Finance is a permissionless money market on Ethereum for borrowing, lending and shorting crypto assets. It allows users to access a scalable and accessible money market where tokens can be listed permissionlessly and automatically and where users can short these tokens. Beta Finance plans to launch on additional layer one and layer two solutions after its Ethereum Mainnet launch.

Users have three options: lending, borrowing and shorting. Lenders will be able to lend crypto assets for any market that exists on Beta Finance and earn interest on it. Borrowers can take the contrary position, while short-sellers are able to use collateral to initiate short positions. Unlike centralized exchanges, Beta Finance does not use an order book to execute shorts but routes the trade through decentralized exchanges that use automated market makers. As part of its Phase 2 launch, the platform plans to release permissionless money market creation.

Adventure Gold (AGLD) is an ERC-20 token that originated from the Loot non-fungible token (NFT) project. Loot, created by Vine co-founder Dom Hofmann, is a unique text-based collection of randomized adventure gear stored on-chain. The project intentionally lacks a front-end interface, images, or predefined functionality, consisting of 8,000 text-based NFTs open to community interpretation.
Initially launched on September 2, 2021, AGLD allowed each Loot NFT owner to claim 10,000 tokens for free. This airdrop became incredibly valuable, worth up to $70,000 per NFT in the early days of trading. AGLD's founder, Will Papper, aimed to establish a standard currency for the decentralized gaming universe built around Loot.
As the project evolved, AGLD has become the ecosystem, governance, and gas token for Adventure Layer, a Layer 2 solution customized for Fully Onchain Games (FOCG). The Adventure Layer, an upgrade to the original Loot Chain launched in June 2023, incorporates advanced features like sharding, tick-based parallel execution, and an ECS game engine. These improvements are designed to enhance the experience for both FOCG players and developers, furthering the project's goal of creating a robust ecosystem for decentralized gaming.
