Speaking at an exclusive interview with CNBC, OpenAI COO Brad Lightcap <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.cnbc.com/2023/12/04/openai-coo-brad-lightcap-interview-with-cnbc.html" target="_blank">warned</a> users of Artificial Intelligence (AI) against expecting immediate results from the integration of the technology into their business.&nbsp; 
<h2 id="strong-the-wrong-myth-about-ai-strong">The Wrong Myth About AI</h2> 
There is a perceived notion of AI that is beginning to consume the entire ecosystem. Precisely, the evolving technology is believed to have the capacity to deliver <a href="https://coingape.com/how-can-chatgpt-revolutionize-the-crypto-market/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">significant changes</a> to businesses in just one swoop. This stemmed largely from the overhype driven by technology enthusiasts who claimed that AI has a way of making things easier. 
As such, Lightcap confirmed that several companies have met with OpenAI, requesting generative AI that is capable of doing the unimaginable. 
A number of these hailing enterprises are seeking strategies to cut costs dramatically and restore growth to their operations. Funnily, they are beginning to turn to generative AI as the ultimate solution to achieving these feats. While the OpenAI COO acknowledged that AI is capable of proffering solutions and improving processes, he also added that “there’s never one thing you can do with AI that solves that problem in full.” 
In addition, he highlighted that AI is still very much in its experimental stage, another way of saying that the technology is yet to explore its full potential. Till now, AI is yet to become an integral constituent of critical tools and applications.&nbsp; 
<h2 id="strong-openai-microsoft-and-others-pursuing-enterprise-solutions-strong">OpenAI, Microsoft and Others Pursuing Enterprise Solutions</h2> 
OpenAI has designed an AI platform that is business-inclined and geared towards providing better guardrails for companies which seek to protect proprietary and sensitive data as well as offer more fine-tuning options for the model. It is safe to say that this model is the enterprise or business form of the <a href="https://coingape.com/openais-chatgpt-no-more-limited-to-2021-data/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">popular ChatGPT chatbot</a>.&nbsp; 
Other tech giants like <a href="https://coingape.com/microsoft-partners-oracle-to-boost-ai-offerings-know-more-here/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Microsoft</a> and <a href="https://coingape.com/amazon-olympus-to-challenge-openai-microsoft-ai-dominance/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Amazon are equally exploring</a>&nbsp;the path of developing enterprise-focused generative AI models. Their zeal is birthed out of concerns around accidental data leaks. 
Unfortunately, early adopters of the first iterations of AI models are beginning to grumble about the ineffectiveness of the technology to make their lives easier. An example is the chatbot which Morgan Stanley built with OpenAI to attend to its wealthy customers. Employees at the bank confirmed that people still end up calling the bank rather than engage the chatbot.
