This development has significant implications for Ethereum’s supply dynamics, turning inflationary and pushing the cryptocurrency to $3,300 within 24 hours.</p>
<p>Over the past 24 hours, Ethereum saw a 1.11% increase, trading around $3,309. This surge is set against the backdrop of gas fees within the <a href="https://www.ethnews.com/eth-sees-similar-drop-to-btc-when-etfs-went-live-does-that-mean-ethereum-and-pepe-will-follow-rollblock-to-new-highs/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ethereum</a> network reaching unprecedented lows, averaging just 4 Gwei. This reduction in transaction fees has led to a decrease in the amount of ETH burned, resulting in an inflationary supply growth. In fact, less than 200 ETH were burned in the last 24 hours, contributing to a 0.67% growth in supply.</p>
<p>This drop in gas fees is primarily due to the increased adoption of Layer-2 scaling solutions and the introduction of blob transactions through the Dencun hard fork in March. These enhancements have significantly lowered transaction costs on Layer-2 networks, thereby influencing the entire <a href="https://www.ethnews.com/ethereums-path-to-decentralization-buterins-bold-response-to-szilagyis-concerns/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ethereum</a> ecosystem.</p>

In the short term, more affordable crypto transactions encourage greater network utilization, which could potentially drive up the value of ETH.
