Hong Kong-based blockchain investment firm Animoca Brands is reportedly eyeing a public listing in Hong Kong or the Middle East next year.
<a href="https://crypto.news/tag/animoca-brands/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Animoca Brands</a>, a blockchain software and investment firm, is reportedly considering an <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/ipo/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">IPO</a> in <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/hong-kong/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Hong Kong</a> or the Middle East in 2025 as the region signals its willingness to embrace more crypto investors.
In an <a href="https://www.theinformation.com/articles/animoca-brands-looks-to-crypto-friendly-markets-for-potential-2025-listing" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">interview</a>, Animoca Brands co-founder Yat Siu revealed that the Hong Kong-based web3 firm valued at nearly $6 billion in 2022 has already held talks with investment banks. However, it has yet to choose an adviser, Siu added.
For Animoca Brands, going public wouldn’t be a first in the company’s history, as it was previously listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, but was delisted in 2020 due to compliance issues.

The blockchain firm boasts over 400 crypto holdings, including play-to-earn game Axie Infinity, marketplace for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) OpenSea, and blockchain developer Dapper Labs among others. The firm has also raised over $830 million in over 29 funding rounds from a pool of investors, including Temasek Holdings, GSV Capital, Soros Fund Management, and Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss’ venture capital firm.
