With August fast slipping away, <a href="https://coinedition.com/tag/altcoin-alt-news" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">major altcoins</a> are preparing to release more tokens into circulation this August. According to data from TokenUnlocks, SAND, APT, IMX, INJ, LDO, and AVAX are some of the tokens set to unlock this August. 
Likewise, DYDX, YGG, and ID tokens will also release massive amounts of unlocked tokens into public circulation. A report from Wu Blockchain estimates the total value of these tokens to unlock in August at over $425 million. 
Notably, SAND, the native token of the popular web3 online gaming platform The Sandbox, is set to unlock 332.55m tokens worth $134 million on August 14. At the time of press, the token has 2.05 billion tokens unlocked, 68% of its max supply, while 949 million tokens remain locked. 
The 18th largest <a href="https://coinedition.com/market/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">cryptocurrency by market cap</a>, Avalanche, will unlock tokens on August 26. The smart contracts platform will unlock 9.54 million tokens worth an estimated $120 mi…
