Beloved meme coin Shiba Inu (SHIB) recently celebrated a remarkable third birthday, highlighting just how far this plucky crypto asset has come in a short time. Boasting an eye-popping nearly 2 million percent return on investment, SHIB has rewarded early backers who invested as little as $100 with over $1.6 million today. 
But the SHIB community isn’t resting on its laurels. In July, <a href="https://twitter.com/ali_charts/status/1686152761505685504" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">approximately</a> 3.3 trillion SHIB tokens worth $28 million were withdrawn from exchanges and into private wallets. This decreases selling pressure and signals holders are taking a long position on their investment. 
At the same time, lead SHIB developer Shytoshi Kusama extended a mysterious invitation to none other than Elon Musk for the upcoming launch of Shibarium. This Layer 2 scaling solution aims to greatly improve transaction speeds and reduce fees, opening the doors for SHIB’s evolution into a full-fledged ecosystem for decentralized apps and real-world utility. 
With the successful “Puppynet” beta test under its belt, Shibarium mainnet couldn’t arrive at a better time. Speculation is building over how this technical milestone, combined with the third birthday momentum, may translate into SHIB’s next major price surge. 
But true to its heart, the SHIB army remains grounded in community spirit and organic growth rather than hype. More than a meme token, Shiba Inu represents an idea – a movement toward a more fair and accessible financial future. 
Interestingly, many traders seem to have come full circle after investing heavily in other memecoins like PEPE, FLOKI, PEPE2.0 etc. As the next potential crypto bull run approaches, investors appear eager to return to OG meme coins like SHIB and DOGE that sparked the previous mega rallies. 
If its first three years are any indication, SHIB still has plenty of room to run in making that dream a reality. The core community remains as passionate as ever, and excitement builds over major technical milestones on the horizon. For this scrappy meme coin, the fun may just be getting started.
