<p>Kaspersky Lab <a href="https://www.kaspersky.ru/about/press-releases/2024_zloumyshlenniki-voruyut-akkaunty-rossijskih-polzovatelej-telegram-pod-vidom-servisa-dlya-vyvoda-sredstv-iz-igry-hamster-kombat" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">said</a> that, amid expectations for the token’s launch, scammers began to steal Telegram user accounts under the guise of a service for withdrawing money from Hamster Kombat.</p>
<p>The scheme works like this: attackers send links to a resource for authorization in the service. Through it, users can supposedly withdraw coins from Hamster Kombat. They must enter their credentials on the open page to do this. This is how scammers gain access to personal accounts in the messenger.</p>

The head of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, Anatoliy Aksakov, <a href="https://crypto.news/russian-lawmaker-pushes-for-hamster-kombat-ban-over-scam-concerns/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">called</a> the hamster’s “tapping” “obvious fraud” and “manipulation and exploitation of the psychology of citizens.”</p>

<p>The Hamster Kombat team has maintained anonymity throughout its existence, but recently, the media found out who is behind the popular game — Russian businessman Eduard Gurinovich.</p>
