Known Dogecoin enthusiast and Twitter&#8217;s Elon Musk <a href="https://www.crypto-news-flash.com/dogecoin-father-elon-musk-to-step-down-as-twitter-ceo-will-doge-still-become-the-native-currency-of-the-platform-report/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> last week that he would be stepping down from his position as the company&#8217;s CEO to take on the role of Chairman and CTO in the next six weeks. In another tweet, Musk <a href="https://twitter.com/lindayacc/status/1657534131788554240?s=20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">announced</a> that Linda Yaccarino would be the company&#8217;s new CEO.

Yaccarino has an extensive career as an advertising executive and has taken over a variety of roles at the global broadcasting company Turner Broadcasting System. According to reports, she was in the media source outlet from 1996 to 2011 before taking on the positions of executive vice president and chief operating officer at NBCUniversal.
Upon confirming her role on Twitter, Yaccarino announced to her followers that she would be collaborating with Elon Musk to build Twitter 2.0.

<h3 id="will-dogecoin-be-considered-in-twitter-2-0">Will Dogecoin be considered in Twitter 2.0?</h3>
<a href="https://www.crypto-news-flash.com/elon-musk-introduces-twitter-2-0-with-dogecoin-will-doge-be-the-native-currency-of-the-platform/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Twitter 2.0</a> will be what is termed the “X, everything app,” which may include encrypted DMs, user-to-user payments, long-form tweets, etc. In one of his moves, Musk changed the Twitter logo to reflect the image of Dogecoin on April 3. This triggered a price surge of 25 percent and speculations of possible integration of the meme coin as a payment method on the platform. However, a section of the crypto community believes that this was just a deliberate attempt to fuel Dogecoin prices.
Musk&#8217;s step-down announcement was met with disappointment by the Dogecoin enthusiasts as the hope of seeing their beloved meme coin becoming the platform&#8217;s currency nearly faded. However, the announcement of Yaccarino has rekindled this discussion. In one of her posts, Yaccarino said that she will take into consideration the feedback of the community in this notable &#8220;X, the everything apps.&#8221;
For now, several details of Twitter 2.0 are still hidden, however, it&#8217;s likely, it may not be far from the earlier visions of integrating payments into the products of the platform. When this happens, Dogecoin and other cryptos may be featured. One notable concern is that there is no verifiable information to prove that she is a pro-crypto having worked as an Executive of the World Economic Forum (WEF). However, the community has a cause to stay positive as she recently followed Dogecoin and Shiba Inu.
