With Helio being the decentralised stablecoin provider for HAY, there is a natural synergy between the two protocols.Hence, a significant portion of HAY’s <a href="https://dune.com/helio_analytics/helio-advanced-stats" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">liquidity &amp; trading volume</a> comes from Wombat Exchange, which makes them one of Helio’s most valuable integration partners.To strengthen our partnership together, Helio Protocol will be phasing out our HAY Single-Staking feature in different batches. Instead, we will migrate our liquidity to the various HAY staking pools on Wombat Exchange.Logic &amp; StrategyThe main reason for the liquidity migration is to increase the capital efficiency of HAY’s money market to ensure that the most active HAY-LPs (measured by liquidity and trading volume) are properly incentivised.<h2 id="header-0">1. WOMwars Participation</h2>Firstly, depositing Helio’s Single-Staking HAY liquidity into Wombat’s LP puts Helio in a much stronger position to participate in Wombat’s bribing war.Since we can accumulate larger WOM token emissions, locking these additional WOM tokens into veWOM will allow Helio to have a much greater voting power to boost the current APRs &amp; direct larger WOM emissions towards HAY-LPs on Wombat Exchange, allowing HAY-LP providers to earn a higher boosted yield.<h2 id="header-1">2. Liquid Staking Reward Allocation</h2>Lastly, by phasing out Helio’s HAY single-staking pool, it frees up liquid staking reward allocations initially allocated to single HAY stakers. The Liquid staking rewards accrued from our BNB collateral makes up the Helio Reward pool. With that in mind, currently, 24% of our Helio Reward pool has already been allocated as HAY rewards towards HAY-LP pools on Wombat Additional rewards on top of WOM emissions:Moving forward, an additional ~12.8% that were initially allocated to HAY’s single-staking pool will be migrated over to incentivising the smart pool &amp; stable guild pool on Wombat in the following ratios:<ol><li>~8.6% allocated to Smart pool</li><li>~4.2% allocated to Stable Guild pool</li></ol>This adds up the total percentage of Helio’s reward pool allocated to Wombat’s HAY-LP pools to ~36.8%. Since BNB’s liquid staking APR and price may fluctuate, this percentage allocation may also experience slight fluctuations.Once our HAY single-staking pool has completely migrated over to Wombat’s HAY-LP, the percentage of Helio’s Reward pool allocated to HAY-LPs on Wombat will also increase accordingly.Do note that the reward distribution will be subject to change in the future to ensure that the most active HAY-LPs remain properly incentivised accordingly.ExecutionGoing forward, new deposits to the HAY single-staking pool on Helio Protocol will be halted. Existing depositors will be notified of the change and encouraged to move their liquidity to the HAY-LP on Wombat instead.For starters, as of 10th May, the first batch of liquidity worth $3.5 million from our HAY single staking TVL has already been migrated to Wombat’s Smart &amp; Stable Guild pools to bootstrap liquidity. Here is what’s going to happen next:<ol><li>The liquidity of HAY will continue to migrate over to the HAY-LPs on Wombat Exchange over the next few weeks with careful planning and execution.</li><li>An additional ~12.8% of Helio’s Liquid staking rewards will be migrated over to incentivise HAY-LP pools on Wombat Exchange on top of the initial 24% already allocated.</li><li>User’s HAY deposits will not be touched. However, the Helio Reward pool will progressively lower the incentives for the HAY single-staking pool on Helio Protocol to 0.
