<p>Is this month super fast, or is it just me? We celebrated April Fool&#8217;s Day almost yesterday and are in the second half of April. Last week was really eventful, and A LOT happened in the social media space. </p>



<p>This roundup brings all the juicy gist that led conversations in the social media world last week. From the controversial Easter adverts to Peter Obi&#8217;s drama, a LOT happened. You will need to relax to digest this news.</p>



<h4 id="dont-marry-a-mamas-boy-e-get-why">Don&#8217;t marry a mama&#8217;s boy, e get why?</h4>

<p>The PSG and Moroccan player Achraf Hakimi has shooked the internet space after his wife, Hiba Abouk, requested a divorce. Omo, with how people are divorcing, I wonder who will get married?</p>



<p>Anyways, the divorce is not the shocking part. What is shocking is that Mrs Hakimi may not get any assets from the marriage.  Achraf Hakimi has been a footballer for almost ten years, playing for Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, and Paris Saint-Germain, while his wife is a Spanish actress. The duo met when Hakimi was 19 and she was closer to 30.  </p>

<p>However, regarding the divorce&#8217;s outcome, it seems Hakimi&#8217;s wife will have nothing to take from the marriage as Hakimi has nothing to his name, no assets, no finance, and no wealth. <a href="https://www.marca.com/en/football/psg/2023/04/14/6439521022601d2a248b45b8.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Public sources </a>say everything he owns is in his mother&#8217;s name. This is not stopping the wife from giving half of her assets to Hakimi as per the prenuptial agreement. </p>



<p>This move has caused a massive uproar in the social space. How will a man put all his money in his mother&#8217;s name? The real definition of mama&#8217;s boy. While some have hailed the PSG player, others believe the move is too immature. </p>

<h4 id="gangs-of-lagos-a-mockery-of-tradition-and-heritage">Gangs of Lagos, a mockery of tradition and heritage</h4>

<p>If you have not watched the Gangs of Lagos, you are in for a long ride. The movie has made headlines for its storyline, character and plot and boy, some people seem very displeased with the portrayal of certain traditional and cultural symbols.</p>



<p>The producer gave the audience an insight into what Isale-Eko is supposedly all about at the beginning, alongside some of the negative outlooks on Lagos and its politics. But I wish that was all, the movie also had a negative depiction of some cultural activities like the Eyo Masquerade, and this did not sit well with some people.</p>

<p>Since the release of the film, the Isale-Eko community have issued a warning to the producers of the negative depiction of their image. The Lagos State Government have also issued a statement expressing its displeasure over the movie, which it described as a &#8220;total abomination&#8221;, particularly as it portrayed the State&#8217;s culture in a negative limelight. </p>

<p>However, many social media fans have commended the performance of the movie. For some, it is an eye-opener to learn more about the culture. But what do you think?</p>

<p>The couple on Instagram and have since been an &#8220;awwn&#8221; symbol for many young fans. Milly Bobby Brown, who has received nominations for two Primetime Emmy Awards, shooked the internet with her engagement pictures to Jake Bongiovi.</p>



<p>The problem is not that she is engaged; it is that she is 19 years old, an age that many people deem still too young for commitments like marriage, especially in a world where celebrity divorce dramas are very common.</p>
