<p>Despite numerous ongoing efforts by various technology companies worldwide to develop generative artificial intelligence systems that can assist us in our daily lives, in a recent report, it was revealed that Elon Musk &#8211; the CEO of both Tesla and Twitter &#8211; is particularly troubled about the potential for this technology to be used destructively.</p>

<p>Elon Musk emphasizes how these developments have alarming risks with severe consequences for global society. Nevertheless, he <a href="https://www.cryptopolitan.com/elon-musk-to-launch-openai-chatgpt-rival/" data-type="post" data-id="290357">plans on launching </a>an entirely new startup specifically tailored toward recruiting top-of-the-line AI researchers and engineers. Despite his involvement, Musk continues to emphasize AI&#8217;s destructive potential if it falls into the wrong hands or is developed with malicious intent.</p>



<p>Despite being involved in AI development himself, Musk remains adamant about its potential for destruction if it&#8217;s not used properly. During an interview with FOX, Musk compared the risk to that of poorly designed aircraft or inadequate maintenance.  Although the likelihood may be low, he asserted, &#8220;However small one may regard that probability, it is non-trivial &#8211; it has the potential of civilizational destruction.&#8221;</p>



<p>Crypto Twitter quickly picked up the discussion, with Musk reinforcing his stance: &#8220;Anyone who thinks this risk is 0% is an idiot.&#8221;</p>



<p>In contrast, tech entrepreneurs like Bill Gates remain more optimistic about AI and its potential positive impact on humanity.</p>



<p>On April 13, Amazon <a href="https://twitter.com/awscloud/status/1646566812954263560?s=20" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">entered</a> the AI competition with the announcement of its new service, Amazon Bedrock. This innovative tool allows individuals to develop and expand generative AI applications without constraints on scalability.</p>
