<p>Outer Ring, the science fiction universe created by Daniel Valdés in his novel “Outer Ring: Dawn Chronicles,” comes to life in Outer Ring MMO, a free-to-play 3rd person action RPG. The Spanish studio led by Valdés, <a href="https://maniacpanda.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Maniac Panda Games,</a> has announced the launch of a narrative campaign that will provide an in-depth look at the five species that inhabit the Indabi Nebula, the galaxy where the game’s story takes place.</p><react-video url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v&#61;tjQlH4WhSQY"></react-video><p></p><p><a href="https://outerringmmo.com/download-tech-demo/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Outer Ring MMO </a>has assembled a team of over 150 people to bring its universe to the PC. Its creative direction includes names such as <a href="https://www.mobygames.com/person/5747/adam-bullied/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Adam Bullied</a> -narrative director-, formerly of “Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III”, <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/jonas-teegen-49a47792/?originalSubdomain&#61;de" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Jonas Teegen,</a> creative director and former designer at “Chorus”, and <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/toni-rodriguez-27698b5/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Toni Rodríguez</a>, its art director and former Gameloft employee.</p><h2 id="header-0">From the paper to the screen</h2><p>The transmedia campaign, which will launch in early April and run until the game’s Early Access Pre-Alpha launch in June, will allow players to learn about the history of each playable species: the Earthlings, the Va’ans, the Scavengons, the Mechs, and the Oracles. This initiative aims to immerse the player in the intergalactic lore of the Outer Ring, a world full of unique stories and adventures.</p><p><img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/optimized-uploads/7d30eaedc0964729baa894f7dbaefdaf.png" /></p><p>In addition, in the campaign, we will see the transformation of the species from their initial design to the low-poly aesthetic that characterizes them after the re-work carried out in 2022.</p><h2 id="header-1">The characters in-game</h2><p>Outer Ring MMO has developed a gameplay experience where evolution will be a key pillar, allowing its characters to be dynamic, versatile, and highly adaptable. This means that all the main species in the universe will be able to improve their abilities over time, so players can refine and adapt their play style.</p><p>However, each species has its own physical and cultural peculiarities: for example, the Scavengons have an innate ability to use waste to build new technologies.
