There has been a security breach on the Monsterra reward wallet. <strong>Earlier Mar.22nd, we discovered that the wallet was compromised resulting in 528,980 MSTR drained from the reward and liquidity pool.</strong> The attacker used the Malware infection to hack into the wallet and forge illegal withdrawals. The buyback phase 2 will be proceeded shortly and announced to the large community once is done.</li></ul><p><strong>Buyback (phase 1)</strong>: 328,980 MSTR tokens</p><p><strong>Buying Wallet:</strong> 0x4530928DbdfC79cAe2B128aA72CCD6C3E4FF30b8</p><h2 id="header-2">3/23/2023 Updated Key Points</h2><ul><li>The team proactively worked on the proposed solutions</li><li><strong>A greenlight update:</strong> #MSTR reached Top 6 for the hot pair MSTR/USDT on &#64;DEXToolsApp just 1 day after the unexpected incident</li></ul><h2 id="header-3">3/22/2023 Updated Key Points</h2><ul><li>Monsterra MSTR tokens hack occurred</li><li>Monsterra development team immediately locked down all wallet transactions at the time of detection.</li><li>An urgent meeting was called to investigate the root cause of the security flaw</li><li>The team sent out an announcement with details of the hack and tackled solutions to the large community and all partners</li><li>Liaised with BNBChain, Avax, and OKC chain to trace back all illegal transactions</li></ul><h2 id="header-4">Details About The Hack&#x1f6ab;</h2><ul><li>One of Monsterra team member’s personal computer was infected with Malware resulting in all wallet addresses on the device being hacked.</li><li>Our wallet that stores tokens used for in-game event reward funds and the liquidity pool of the MSTR/MAG pair on Avalanche and OKC chains was one of those hacked</li><li>The total hacked tokens were reported at <strong>528,980 MSTR</strong> including 400,001 MSTR from the event prize fund and 128,979 MSTR tokens from the liquidity pool.</li><li>The hacker withdrew the entire liquidity pool of the MSTR/MAG token pair on the OKC and Avalanche chains.</li><li>The hacked tokens were sold on OKC and BNB chains as all tokens on Avalanche have been revoked thanks to the bridge’s security mechanism.</li></ul><p>We will keep going forward with the rooted solution to recover and protect all token holder’s benefits.
