A study by economists found 186 US banks at risk, facing issues similar to the ones that caused the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank. Rising interest rates diminished the bank&#39;s assets, causing uninsured depositors to withdraw their funds. In such cases, intervention from the FDIC might become necessary.The study evaluated banks&#39; assets and funding percentages and found that half of uninsured depositors withdrawing funds could impair even insured depositors.
