<p>Qtum will partner with Opside Network – a three-layer architecture for high-throughput web3 applications. The partnership aims to bring together DeFi, in terms of decentralization, infinite scalability, speed, and the highest level of security available today. The Qtum chain will be added to the Opside Network layer-1 zk-bridge along with other layer-1 blockchains like BNB and ETH, enabling cross-chain transactions.</p><h2 id="header-0">What is Opside Network?</h2><p>As mentioned above, Opside Network has a three-layer system:</p><ul><li>Layer-1: Maintain the network&#39;s security, decentralization, and connect layer-1 blockchains to Opside layer two using the zk--bridge.</li><li>Layer-2: The Opside Network sidechain is designed to decrease computing and storage from layer one. Since transactions are processed in layer-2, it increases overall system scalability.</li><li>Layer-3: Rollups as a service (RAAS) is a scaling solution that compress multiple transactions off-chain and releases them on-chain as a single transaction resulting in almost instant transactions and significantly less gas fees.</li></ul><p>Opside Network’s three-layer architecture offers the following:</p><ul><li>Infinite scalability</li><li>Almost instant transactions</li><li>Decreased fees</li><li>Security on all layers</li></ul><h2 id="header-1">How is Opside Network Decentralized?</h2><p>Opside offers both Proof-of-Stake staking and Proof-of-Work validators to make this platform fully decentralized on all layers. With Opside Network, users have two ways to support the ecosystem&#39;s decentralization and earn block rewards.</p><ol><li>Users can stake tokens and earn block rewards plus gas fees on layer-2. Staking on layer-2 will secure the Opside Network Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm supporting the decentralization of the sidechain.</li><li>Users can use computing power to run validators that compute zk-rollup batches and proofs to earn layer-3 batch rewards and gas fees. Running a validator on layer-3 will secure the Opside Network zk-rollups as a Service (RaaS) consensus algorithm supporting the decentralization of layer-3.</li></ol><h2 id="header-2">What are the top Opside Network use cases?</h2><p>Upside Network’s leading utility lies in running applications requiring high speed and utility. This makes it ideal for Upside Network to deploy complex apps like Games and DeFi.</p><h2 id="header-3">Final thoughts</h2><p>One of Opside’s main goals is to deploy cross-chain contract calls to support all programmable blockchains.
