Motorola and Google Cloud have launched a new multi-year agreement to embed generative AI into Motorola phones. This will feature the brand new range of razr smartphones, beginning with the flagship Motorola Razr+/Motorola Razr 50 Ultra.
This collaboration leverages Google Cloud Vertex AI, Gemini, and Imagen models to enhance the smartphone experience including the ability to complete tasks, provide relevant suggestions and reminders, summarize and recall information, and more.&nbsp;
As per the <a href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/motorola-and-google-cloud-bring-generative-ai-to-new-razr-family-of-smartphones-302181887.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">partnership</a>, Moto AI intends to improve the smartphone experience by becoming context-aware, personal, collaborative, and pervasive across the phone and ecosystem.
Introducing new AI features called Magic Canvas and Taste Sync, which enable users to generate graphics from text descriptions and personalize their phone’s interface to reflect their style. These innovations, powered by Google Cloud AI, aim to enhance user creativity and personalization on Motorola handsets.
Dan Dery, Vice President of AI, Ecosystem, and Internet Services at Motorola, said, “The razr brand is synonymous with innovation, and we are thrilled to have partnered with Google to deliver innovative generative AI solutions to our consumers.”
He explains Moto AI enables users to create content intuitively, personalize their smartphone, find the information they seek, and complete more tasks in less time, all thanks to Google’s most advanced AI.
Moto AI will also learn from user interactions and offer additional functions over time, such as providing prioritized summaries of personal communications and remembering crucial information from chats.
Umesh Vemuri of Google Cloud emphasized that Motorola’s latest razr smartphones harness Google’s AI to set new standards in making smartphones helpful companions worldwide, building on Motorola’s legacy of innovation.
The new razr smartphones, including the razr+/motorola razr 50 ultra, are now available in select Latin American and European markets, with pre-orders available in North America, India, and select Asia Pacific markets in the coming weeks.
