<a href="https://gemwallet.com/usdt-wallet/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Tether (USDT)</a>, the world’s largest stablecoin, has made a quick start on <a href="https://gemwallet.com/ton-wallet/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">TON Blockchain (TON)</a>, surpassing $100 million worth of USDT issued and circulating on the blockchain.Tether announced its collaboration with the TON Foundation on April 20th at Token2049 in Dubai.<h2 id="header-0">USDT Getting TON of Attention</h2><img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/srd-optimized-uploads/aa3ed27e5c0f4fbfb4afbec21681f31e.png" />Out of the 16 blockchains that handle USDT, the TON Blockchain now ranks eighth in size with over $100 million worth of USDT released on it (as of today, it is ~$115 million). A partnership between Tether and the TON Foundation was revealed at the Token2049 conference in Dubai. Tether also announced that it will eventually launch the stablecoin Tether Gold (XAUT), which is pegged to gold, on TON. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino was delighted with the partnership, saying that: <blockquote>&#34;the launch of USDt on TON will allow seamless value transfer globally in a simple experience that can match even the traditional financial system&#34;.</blockquote>Users of Telegram can now make free and quick cross-border payments with USDT on TON. Additionally, users can transmit payments using this interface without downloading other apps or requiring a blockchain address.<h3 id="strong-advantages-of-usdt-on-ton-strong">Advantages of USDt on TON:</h3><ul><li>Seamless Telegram integration: The seamless integration of USDt on TON with Telegram will provide a very user-friendly experience, establishing TON as a very convenient blockchain for USDt transactions. Users of Telegram will find DeFi easier to use and more comprehensible thanks to this integration.</li><li>Reduced transaction fees: Tether&#39;s smart contract has been optimized by the core TON development team to be three times less expensive than any other <a href="https://gemwallet.com/jetton-wallet/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Jetton</a>. The fixed cost of a transaction between two USDt users is only 0.0145 TON (~$0.10), which is 66% less than other jettons.</li><li>Faster and more scalable: USDt transactions can now be handled more fast than ever because to TON&#39;s high throughput and quick confirmation times.</li></ul>
