Cryptocurrency trading platform <a href="https://coinpedia.org/crypto-live-news/huobi-will-convert-the-original-platform-coin-ht-token-to-htx-token/">HTX</a>, previously Huobi Global, has withdrawn its license application in Hong Kong, deviating from its earlier plan to strengthen its presence in the local crypto market. 
The <a href="https://www.sfc.hk/en/Welcome-to-the-Fintech-Contact-Point/Virtual-assets/Virtual-asset-trading-platforms-operators/Lists-of-virtual-asset-trading-platforms">Securities and Futures Commission (SFC)</a> confirmed the withdrawal for HBGL Hong Kong Limited, a part of HTX, just three days after the application submission on February 23rd. 
HTX, once a frontrunner for regulatory approval in Hong Kong, now leaves the crypto community speculating about the undisclosed reasons behind this unexpected retreat.
