<a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/nicehash-launches-rig-manager-for-enhanced-crypto-mining/">NiceHash</a>, a leader in cryptocurrency mining innovation, has introduced a unique reward system termed Real-Time-Pay-Per-Share (RTPPS). This system, distinct from the conventional Pay-Per-Share (PPS) and Full Pay-Per-Share (FPPS) models, offers real-time payment to miners based on spot <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/impending-bitcoin-halving-may-trigger-major-hashrate-decline-say-experts/">hashrate</a> prices. The RTPPS system calculates the price of shares every minute, influenced by the bidding of hashrate buyers, often exceeding regular PPS or FPPS values, according to <a href="https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/introducing-rtpps-unique-mining-reward-system?lang=en">Nicehash</a>. 
One key feature of RTPPS is that it doesn't require block confirmation for miners to receive rewards, a characteristic shared with PPS and FPPS. However, RTPPS shifts the risk of block reward acquisition from the <a href="https://ultramining.com/en/ratings/">mining pool</a> to the buyers of hashrate. This approach is more dynamic and responsive to real-time market conditions. 
In traditional PPS, miners are rewarded for each valid share contributed, with the share value calculated by dividing the block reward by the current difficulty. It uses the current block reward and does not include transaction fees in the miner's reward. The share value changes only every two weeks with difficulty adjustments. 
In contrast, NiceHash's RTPPS system operates differently. Miners on NiceHash are not paid directly from block rewards but from buyers who purchase hashrate on the spot hashrate marketplace. These buyers pay sellers (miners) in real-time for each share, based on the hashrate price they are willing to pay. Buyers also adjust the price of shares/hashrate in real-time, allowing for a more flexible and potentially lucrative mining process. 
An example of RTPPS in action is when a buyer uses a Pay-Per-Last-N-Shares (PPLNS) pool through NiceHash. Even if the pool doesn't find any blocks, the buyer still pays for the hashrate they purchased. This real-time payment eliminates the need for a trusted intermediary for the payment and hashrate exchange between the buyer and seller. 
FPPS, generally calculated once per day, includes both coinbase rewards and transaction fees in the block reward. However, the FPPS rate remains constant between daily payouts, regardless of any dramatic changes in block rewards. Miners are paid for each successful share they send to the pool, with the pool bearing the risk of not confirming a block. 
In contrast, the RTPPS rate, determined by profit-driven hashrate buyers, is recalculated frequently—every few seconds or minutes—reflecting the real-time <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitcoins-rebound-above-30k-boosts-hashprice-a-4-leap-in-24-hours/">hashprice</a> value. This allows miners to be compensated for every share they transmit successfully.
