<p>Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has announced receiving an anti-money laundering registration as a cryptocurrency exchange and custodian wallet provider with the Bank of Spain, enabling it to offer products and services to retail and institutional users in Spain. The move comes as part of Coinbase’s Phase II international expansion with its “Go Broad, Go Deep” strategy. The exchange is also in talks to acquire FTX Europe and expand its derivatives business in the region. Coinbase presently faces regulatory challenges in the US regarding its cryptocurrency lending product, with the Securities and Exchange Commission claiming it to be a security.</p>
