 <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">According to a Sept 1 </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">filing</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">, the SEC embarked on the enforcement action in December 2020, asserting that most of Ripple’s transactions related to <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="XRP" href="https://thebittimes.com/tag/xrp.html">XRP</a> for eight years should be seen through the lens of investment contracts.&nbsp;</span></p>
