Cardano’s “Chang” hard fork has gone live, initiating a major shift towards decentralized governance. The upgrade introduces CIP-1694, which transfers control from Cardano’s founding entities to community-led bodies like the Constitutional Committee, Delegate Representatives, and Stake Pool Operators. This move connects Cardano with the industry’s decentralized ethos and enhances ADA’s utility. The first phase is active, with full governance empowerment expected in 90 days, positioning Cardano as a leader in on-chain governance.
