Just moments ago, a Nigerian court postponed the money laundering case against cryptocurrency exchange <strong><a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/binance-encounters-legal-obstacles-in-one-country-amid-celebrations-over-its-licensing-in-dubai/" data-wpel-link="internal">Binance</a></strong> and two of its executives to May 17th, after the exchange’s lawyer stated that he had not received the necessary documents to prepare for the case. <p style="text-align: justify">Binance and its executives, U.S. citizen and compliance head of financial crimes Tigran Gambaryan, and Kenyan Nadeem Anjarwalla, who is also a British citizen and the regional manager for Africa, are accused of laundering over $35 million and engaging in unlicensed private financial activities. However, they all claim to be innocent.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">Earlier in the court session that was just held, Binance’s lawyer complained that he had not received additional evidence documents he intended to use to prepare for and attend the hearing. Consequently, the court ensured the delivery of the documents to the lawyer and the judge allowed the lawyer to review more than 300 pages of documents until May 17th, postponing the hearing accordingly.</p> 
<p style="text-align: justify">Additionally, apart from the money laundering case opened by Nigeria’s anti-corruption agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Binance and its executives will also face court on May 17th for separate charges related to tax evasion.</p>
