<p>Temporary Flip in Market Value Miles <a href="https://twitter.com/milesdeutscher/status/1737418707608236377?t=Dpjksyb0xraMUodf8F0PFg&amp;s=19" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Deutscher recently posted</a> that Solana (SOL) had briefly flipped XRP to become the fifth-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. Solana rallied 9.1% in a single day to reach this milestone, as CoinDesk noted the price surge corresponds with growing DeFi activity and meme coin mania around Solana.</p>

<p>However, XRP has since regained its position as the #5 crypto with a market value of $33 billion. Solana trails slightly at $32.7 billion even after rising 14% today and 20% over the last week. So while SOL remains hot, the flip appears to have been short-lived.</p>

<p>Britto and Schwartz created XRP to solve major issues like energy consumption and carbon emissions – problems Bitcoin still struggles with. Given Schwartz’s NSA background and Britto’s anonymity, FARINA speculates they may actually be the minds behind Bitcoin too.</p>
<p>Quoting FARINA: <em>“I wouldn’t be surprised if Bitcoin‍ is the test (Beta Test Coin) and XRP is the final realization.”</em></p>
