BitcoinOS just pulled off a crypto first: they verified the first-ever zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) <a href="https://coinedition.com/bitcoinos-verifies-first-ever-zk-proof-on-bitcoin-mainnet-enabling-infinite-scaling-and-functionality-without-forks/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">directly on Bitcoin’s mainnet</a>, a technical milestone that could unlock a slew of scaling and functionality on Bitcoin.
This breakthrough, confirmed in <a href="https://mempool.space/tx/0a95f5c58f2b47414b46ff2b308e2eb9eab41bf0d53fc744ea7886ea22e97d55" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">block 853626</a>, ushers in a new era of scalability and functionality for the Bitcoin blockchain, traditionally limited by the need for soft forks to implement upgrades.
