<a style="text-decoration:none" href="https://www.binance.com" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Binance</a>, the world’s largest crypto exchange, has&nbsp;<a style="text-decoration:none" href="https://x.com/binance/status/1896531489367449962" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">announced</a> a new zero-fee trading promotion. The promotion removes trading fees on three major cryptocurrency trading pairs. These pairs cover majors&nbsp;<a style="text-decoration:none" href="https://bsc.news/post/what-is-ethereum-eth-how-it-works-explained" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">ETH</a>,&nbsp;<a style="text-decoration:none" href="https://bsc.news/post/what-is-bnb-chain-layer-one-blockchain-guide" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">BNB</a> and&nbsp;<a style="text-decoration:none" href="https://bsc.news/post/solana-blockchain-ecosystem-deep-dive" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SOL</a>. However, the offer is available only to certain ‘special’ user groups on the platform.
The promotion starts on March 10, 2025, and will run for two months, ending on May 9, 2025. During this time, eligible users can trade these aforementioned pairs without incurring any typical fees.
<h2 id="span-span-strong-who-can-use-this-zero-fee-promotion-strong-span-span">Who Can Use This Zero-Fee Promotion?</h2>
Not all Binance users will have access to this special offer. The zero-fee promotion is limited to:
<ol>
 <li>VIP 2-9 users</li>
 <li>Spot Liquidity Providers</li>
</ol>
Regular users and VIP 1 users will not get the zero-fee benefit and will continue to pay standard trading fees when using these pairs.

VIP status on Binance ultimately depends on a user's trading volume and BNB holdings. Users must meet certain requirements to reach each VIP level at all. Spot Liquidity Providers, meanwhile, are users who participate in Binance's various liquidity programs.

<h2 id="span-span-strong-covered-trading-pairs-strong-span-span">Covered Trading Pairs</h2>
The zero-fee promotion applies specifically to three trading pairs on Binance's spot market:
<ul>
 <li>BNB/USDC</li>
 <li>ETH/USDC</li>
 <li>SOL/USDC</li>
</ul>
All three pairs use USDC (USD Coin) as the quote currency, with BNB (Binance Coin), ETH (Ethereum), and SOL (Solana) as the base currencies. These represent some of the most actively traded cryptocurrencies on the platform and perhaps the three biggest&nbsp;<a style="text-decoration:none" href="https://bsc.news/post/layer-1-blockchains-ultimate-guide" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">layer-1</a> projects outside of&nbsp;<a style="text-decoration:none" href="https://bsc.news/post/what-is-bitcoin-how-it-works-mining-digital-gold-guide" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin</a> itself.
<h2 id="span-span-strong-how-the-promotion-works-strong-span-span">How the Promotion Works</h2>
During the promotion period, eligible users will enjoy zero maker and taker fees when trading the specified pairs. Maker fees normally apply when adding liquidity to the order book. Taker fees apply when removing liquidity.
Under normal circumstances, even VIP users pay some level of fees, though at reduced rates. This promotion eliminates these fees completely for the specified trading pairs.
<h2 id="span-span-strong-important-terms-and-conditions-strong-span-span">Important Terms and Conditions</h2>
The promotion comes with several conditions that users should know:
<h3 id="span-span-strong-fee-structure-and-calculations-strong-span-span">Fee Structure and Calculations</h3>
<ul>
 <li>VIP 2-9 users and Spot Liquidity Providers will pay zero maker and taker fees for the three specified trading pairs only.</li>
 <li>Regular and VIP 1 users will continue to pay standard fees according to Binance's fee schedule.</li>
 <li>For regular and VIP 1 users, the volume traded on these pairs will count toward their VIP tier calculations.</li>
</ul>
<h3 id="span-span-strong-volume-exclusions-for-eligible-users-strong-span-span">Volume Exclusions for Eligible Users</h3>
For users who qualify for the zero-fee promotion:
<ul>
 <li>Trading volume on the three pairs will not count toward VIP tier calculations.</li>
 <li>This volume will also be excluded from all Liquidity Provider programs.</li>
</ul>
<h3 id="span-span-strong-other-fee-adjustments-strong-span-span">Other Fee Adjustments</h3>
<ul>
 <li>BNB discounts will not apply to these trading pairs during the promotion.</li>
 <li>Referral rebates will not apply to these trading pairs during the promotion.</li>
 <li>Any other fee adjustments will not apply during the promotion period.</li>
</ul>
<h3 id="span-span-strong-after-the-promotion-strong-span-span">After the Promotion</h3>
When the promotion ends on May 9, 2025:
<ul>
 <li>Standard trading fees will return for all users.</li>
 <li>Calculation of maker and taker fee rebates will resume.</li>
 <li>Users can refer to&nbsp;<a style="text-decoration:none" href="https://www.binance.com/en/vip-institutional-services#program" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Binance's VIP</a> tier fee structure for details on standard fees.</li>
</ul>
<h2 id="span-span-strong-binance-s-policy-on-fair-trading-strong-span-span">Binance's Policy on Fair Trading</h2>
Binance has included several terms related to fair trading practices. The exchange reserves the right to:
<ul>
 <li>Disqualify users involved in dishonest behavior.</li>
 <li>Examples of dishonest behavior include wash trading, illegal bulk account registrations, self-dealing, and market manipulation.</li>
 <li>Cancel or change the promotion terms without prior notice.</li>
 <li>Disqualify participants who tamper with or interfere with Binance's program code.</li>
</ul>
All metrics related to the promotion are measured by Binance according to their own systems and judgment.
<h2 id="span-span-strong-other-active-promotions-strong-span-span">Other Active Promotions</h2>
Binance has mentioned that there is&nbsp;<a style="text-decoration:none" href="https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/detail/5563091ba0384fc69cad2abf04da33a2" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">another</a> ongoing zero-fee trading promotion. This other promotion covers EUR/USDC trading for the same user groups (VIP 2-9 users and Spot Liquidity Providers).
This shows Binance's strategy of offering targeted fee reductions on specific trading pairs. These reductions aim to increase liquidity and trading volume for those pairs.
<h2 id="span-span-strong-final-thoughts-strong-span-span">Final Thoughts</h2>
Binance's zero-fee promotion on BNB/USDC, ETH/USDC, and SOL/USDC trading pairs provides a valuable opportunity for qualifying users. This targeted approach benefits VIP 2-9 users and Spot Liquidity Providers specifically, offering them cost savings when trading these pairs.
Users should review the full terms and conditions before participating in the promotion. The special fee structure is time-limited, running from March 10 to May 9, 2025, after which standard fees will apply again.
