Mastercard's NFT product lead has resigned from the company — and has alleged he was a victim of "harassment and emotional distress."

In a blistering thread on Twitter, Satvik Sethi criticized the credit card giant for "mismanaged processes, miscommunication and internal inefficiency."

He claimed that his salary was slashed by 40% and his workload increased by 200% when he moved from New York to London — and "had to work side jobs to make ends meet," adding:

"There were months at a time when I wouldn't receive my salary until I begged across the hierarchy for it, among many other issues."

He also claims that he was locked and disabled out of his work accounts — "preventing me from accessing ideas I spent months designing and not even giving me a chance to say goodbye to my team, clients and peers."

In a final flourish, Sethi says he has transformed his resignation letter into an NFT that can be minted for 0.023 ETH — about $37.65 at the time of writing.

"Ultimately this is a setback for the time being. It means loss of financial stability, loss of immigration status, loss of some friendships, and I'm expecting more corporate bureaucracy I’ll have to deal with on my way out. None of this is easy rn, but I didn’t expect it to be."

CoinMarketCap has approached Mastercard for a comment.
