Kyle Roche has withdrawn from a number of class action lawsuits against major crypto companies — days after secretly recorded videos of him were published.

The lawyer, who is a founding partner at Roche Freedman, was caught on camera describing juries as "10 idiots" — and boasting that he "sues half the companies in the industry."

Crypto Leaks had alleged that his law firm had formed an "extraordinary secret pact" with Ava Labs to attack rivals and harm the crypto industry.

Roche has now withdrawn from cases that have been brought against Tether, Bitfinex and the Tron Foundation — as well as the company that runs BitMEX.

Court filings say that the lawyer "is no longer involved" in Roche Freedman's class action practice — however, his departure doesn't mean that the cases won't go ahead.

On Monday, Roche said the Crypto Leaks report contained "numerous unsourced false statements and illegally obtained, highly edited video clips that are not presented with accurate context."

He also claimed that there was "a deliberate scheme to intoxicate and then exploit him" through the use of leading questions.

Ava Labs founder Emin Gün Sirer has also denied the existence of a pact with Roche Freedman — stressing that the business had no influence on the cases this law firm pursued.
