Sometimes, life imitates art.
Dogecoin suffered a setback on Friday when a race car illustrated with the cryptocurrency’s logo crashed during a NASCAR race in Nashville.
The driver lost control after making contact with a rival — heading toward the grass before dramatically veering across the track, narrowly avoiding another collision and smashing into a wall.
Unsurprisingly, the crypto-branded car ended up finishing in last place at the NASCAR Xfinity Series Race in Tennessee.
DOGE Crashes in More Ways than One
Over on the crypto markets, similar scenes have been seen as DOGE was disproportionately affected by the recent sell-off.
At the time of writing, the altcoin has fallen by 11.75% in the past 24 hours to $0.2331 — and it’s down 30% on where it was this time seven days ago.
Across both timeframes, DOGE is the worst-performing cryptocurrency in the top ten.
