Crypto.com has announced that it’s going to be sponsoring the Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One team as part of a multi-year deal.
The digital assets platform says both brands are going to collaborate with each other to deliver exclusive experiences to traders and fans. Kris Marszalek, Crypto.com’s co-founder and CEO, said:
“There is strong alignment between our brands and the aspirations of our customers. In only four years we have built the world’s most secure and fastest-growing cryptocurrency platform serving more than 10 million customers worldwide. We’re proud to be partnering with Aston Martin as they return to Grand Prix racing, especially as the first cryptocurrency platform to be sponsoring an F1 team.”
Aston Martin Cognizant was equally enthusiastic about the partnership — and said the deal serves as proof that it’s a “very modern” team.
A Big Boost
The sponsorship deal will undoubtedly give Crypto.com a huge visibility boost. Figures suggest that an average of 87.4 million people tuned in for each race during 2020. This also marks the first time that Aston Martin has had an F1 team in more than 60 years, and its team includes legendary driver and four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel.
According to Business Insider, non-fungible tokens could be high on the list of priorities for both brands. Crypto collectibles have proven exceptionally popular among fans — and as reported by CoinMarketCap Alexandria, sales on NBA Top Shot have been going through the roof.
