All You Need To Know About Myria’s Software Development Kit (SDK)

What are SDKs?

Software Development Kits (SDKs) are bespoke sets of tools and instructions needed to build apps, or dApps, quickly and easily.

In the blockchain gaming world, they do this by providing developers with functionality to facilitate everything from creating and interacting with non-custodial wallets, to minting non-fungible tokens (NFTS), building games, and more.

Above all, SDKs allow developers to access and use APIs and other tools needed to build, launch and test projects and prototypes fast.

About Myria’s SDKs

Myria’s SDKs were built with developers in mind and provide a suite of readily accessible and frictionless tools that can be relied upon to get complex or tedious tasks completed on the blockchain quickly.

What’s more, all new projects built on Myria’s L2 benefit from lightning-fast transaction speeds (up to 9000 TPS thanks to StarkWare’s StarkEx technology), zero gas transaction fees, and carbon neutrality.

Myria Core SDK

Myria’s initial SDK release is installed using a single line of code and enables developers to start interacting with tools on Myria’s L2 straight away. Within the SDK environment, they will find modules to facilitate a hassle-free project development journey, such as how to create an ERC-721 NFT collection.

The Myria Developer Platform has a developer-first approach, simplifying complex blockchain interactions with Myria’s set of SDKs. Developers will be able to launch any NFT project like a blockchain game in a matter of minutes without the need to understand blockchain coding languages like Solidity.

Getting started with Myria’s SDK

Myria’s SDK has the following concepts:

  1. Projects — this could be any creative or entertainment product, or a game. A project is a prerequisite to completing any or all of the following steps.
  2. Collections — these are batched items with certain similar characteristics such as land parcels, weapons, clothes, characters, or characteristics.
  3. Minting — the creation of ERC721 non-fungible tokens (NFTs) such as those listed above.
  4. Assets — individually minted items (NFTs) of immutable status and value that can be used within games or other dApps or openly traded in the Myria marketplace. These digital assets can be anything from in-game status items to pieces of art or music.

Note: Myria’s SDK documentation provides a walk-through that explains how to interact with each of these, starting with projects, and includes all required code samples for a seamless workflow.

Future SDK developments

Needless to say, we have big plans ahead with more features and functionality. Our immediate plans include expanding the Wallet SDK to enable builders to request signatures from end-users and players, enabling fully immersive experiences without leaving your site.

We will be launching game-specific tooling to aid developers with building and deploying new gaming projects. We want to enable game studios and developers to easily integrate blockchain infrastructure into their games, with fast integration, massive scalability, and intuitive management of their blockchain games. Additional features and capabilities exclusive to projects built on the Myria L2 will also be revealed in due course.

There’s a lot happening and our busy engineers are constantly developing and creating new tools, so be sure to keep up to date by joining our Myria Builders community in Discord:
  1. Head to discord.gg/myria
  2. When prompted to choose between “Myrian”, “Developer” or “Both” select “Developer” or “Both” and gain instant access to the relevant channels including builder-news, resources, dev-talk, feedback, and job-desk.

Conclusion

Myria’s developer platform includes all of the tools developers need to launch a blockchain project, in a simple and frictionless manner. Its intuitive tools will relieve developers of most of the onerous tasks associated with building games and creating NFT collections. This tool kit, combined with zero gas fees and incredible scalability makes Myria an ideal environment for game developers and NFT creators to build on.
