The mass departure has created unprecedented delays for validators seeking to unstake their holdings.
Ethereum News
Over 1 million ETH tokens currently await withdrawal from Ethereum's staking network. The massive validator exodus represents nearly 5 billion in value. This marks the largest validator exit in crypto history. The exit queue surpassed 1 million $ETH on Thursday, according to blockchain data.
"The exit queue hitting 1 million ETH reflects healthy market dynamics," said Marcin Kazmierczak from RedStone. He noted that institutional capital inflows continue to dwarf validator exits. Institutional demand through treasury firms and ETFs easily absorbs selling pressure. Public investment vehicles maintain a strong appetite for ETH despite the validator departures.
ETH futures open interest is approaching $33 billion, signaling robust institutional interest. The token remains the "liquidity magnet" of the crypto industry, according to analysts. Standard Chartered projects a $7,500 year-end target for ETH. Polymarket odds show a 26% probability of reaching $5,000 this month.
Only 737,000 $ETH await entry in the staking queue. The network maintains over 1 million active validators with 35.6 million $ETH staked. This represents over 29.4% of total $ETH supply. The network remains stable despite the record exit queue.
