    • This implementation marks the first-ever public blockchain implementation by the government of Karnataka.

KSDC adopts LegitDoc’s tamper-proof certification system

Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC), a body under the Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood department of the Government of Karnataka, has successfully implemented the LegitDoc blockchain-based certification system. This move establishes KSDC as the first government entity in Karnataka to leverage a public blockchain for certification purposes.

LegitDoc brings automated certificate verification to KSDC graduates

Through the LegitDoc system developed by Zupple Labs, KSDC is now capable of issuing tamper-proof certificates to its graduates. These certificates can be quickly and seamlessly verified using the LegitDoc Verifier DApp built on the Polygon Blockchain. This implementation addresses a significant need among the approximately one lakh students who graduate from KSDC each year, as automated verification greatly enhances their employability in the state.
The adoption of the LegitDoc-Polygon-based certification system by KSDC showcases their commitment to innovation and improvement in the skill development sector. By leveraging blockchain technology, KSDC ensures the integrity and security of their certificates, providing employers with a reliable and efficient means of verifying the qualifications of potential hires.
During the pilot phase, KSDC has already issued several hundred certificates on the Polygon Blockchain and plans to expand the system’s coverage across the state in the near future. This puts KSDC in the distinguished group of organizations, including the Maharashtra State Board of Skill Development and Gadchiroli District Administration of the Government of Maharashtra, that have embraced LegitDoc’s blockchain-based certification solutions.
Employers in Karnataka can now benefit from the convenient and free certificate verification service offered by KSDC. By visiting the KSDC website and clicking on the ‘Certificate Verification’ button, employers can quickly verify the authenticity and validity of certificates issued by KSDC graduates. This streamlined verification process adds value to the hiring process and instills confidence in employers regarding the qualifications of potential candidates.
The implementation of the LegitDoc certification system by KSDC marks a significant milestone in the adoption of blockchain technology by a government entity. It demonstrates the forward-thinking approach of KSDC in embracing innovative solutions that enhance transparency, efficiency, and trust in the certification process. Graduates of KSDC can now benefit from the tamper-proof nature of their certificates, while employers can make informed hiring decisions based on verified qualifications.
To learn more about this groundbreaking implementation, interested individuals can visit the KSDC website and access the ‘Certificate Verification’ feature. Additionally, the LegitDoc blog provides insights into other innovative blockchain implementations and their potential impact on various industries.
