Mt. Gox-Related Bitcoin Alert Not to Blame for BTC Price Drop?
  • Arkham stated that they have just fixed a bug involving Bitcoin alerts.
  • Bitcoin is trading for $28,997.79, up 2.31% in the last 24 hours.

On Wednesday, the Bitcoin price dropped at the same time as an Arkham Intelligence bug fix-related occurrence. A well-known Twitter account for cryptocurrency news, DB, shared an extract from an Arkham Intelligence alert stating that Mt. Gox and US government wallets were doing transactions.

Arkham at first tweeted to acknowledge the purported error had happened as a consequence of a “bug fix” that triggered a misleading notice on their analytics platform to a “small subset of users.” After then, Arkham made a statement to the effect that they had just resolved a bug affecting Bitcoin alerts. In actuality, the update prevented them from sending users notifications.

In addition, Arkham claimed that DB has previously created alerts with the names “Mt Gox” and “US Gov” for Bitcoin transactions above $10,000. At the time of writing Bitcoin is trading for $28,997.79 with a 24-hour trading volume of $34,951,240,605. In the past 24 hours, BTC has increased by 2.31% as per CoinMarketcap.
