Reddit's Fourth Avatar Series Persists Amid NFT Decline
Social media platform Reddit is launching its fourth series of collectible avatars called "Retro Reimagined" on July 26. The avatars will be issued on the Polygon blockchain, and Reddit plans to introduce changes to its collectibles shop. Despite the downturn in the NFT industry, Reddit's initiative continues, with new designs from creators like Cool_Cats_NFT and Micah Johnson. Reddit's collectibles project has gained momentum, nearing 10 million holders of its avatars in just 11 months since its launch in July 2022. The platform allows avatar transfers using its blockchain-based wallet Vault or external wallets.
