The independent team of developers behind the
@wallet bot have today announced the long-awaited integration of USDT. Telegram users registered with @wallet will now be able to seamlessly send, buy, and trade the stablecoin between one another without leaving the Telegram app.
Users will be able to send USDT held on the Tron network (TRC-20) through Telegram with zero transaction fees. Sending USDT to other Telegram users has now become as easy as sending a photograph in the app.
USDT will also be added to @wallet’s peer-to-peer marketplace. Here users will be able to easily buy and sell the stablecoin, with both a Toncoin and Bitcoin pair available. The sale, purchase, and trading of USDT within the peer-to-peer marketplace will follow the system outlined in the earlier integration of The Open Network blockchain's native token, Toncoin, with the
@wallet bot. As such, sellers will pay 0.9% commission on the peer-to-peer deals, whilst there will be no commission fees for buyers.
This update is a key example of the @wallet bot team’s desire to create a seamless, user-friendly experience within Telegram that enables both beginners and veterans alike to easily access the world of Web3. USDT is the first stablecoin available on the platform and joins Toncoin and Bitcoin as a token that can be purchased and traded within Telegram.
A spokesperson from @wallet bot commented: ‘The integration of USDT into the @wallet bot is set to make our platform even more accessible, with the world’s largest stablecoin by market cap now available to purchase. Now that both Toncoin and Bitcoin can be purchased using USDT within the app, we hope to play a key role in onboarding the next billion users into web3.’

@wallet bot development team have continued to provide Telegram users with highly requested features, with their launch of a unique P2P cryptocurrency exchange a standout. Alongside this latest update, the developers have also announced significant upgrades to the user interface including a new trade section within the main menu which will enable users to trade between TON and USDT in a couple of taps. Updates to the main display now showcase every cryptocurrency available for trading, and the two sections ‘Buy with Card ‘P2P Market’ will be accessible via the ‘Buy & Sell’ button, ensuring users can swiftly trade both TON and USDT.
