The goal is to have this bridge audited by Certik and launched on the Mainnet by March 2024. This initiative is pivotal for facilitating DeFi activities by introducing stablecoin capabilities to the Qtum ecosystem. The capability to convert wrapped USDC back to its original form at any time will be a notable addition. From the beginning, Qtum has faced a significant absence of a native stablecoin liquidity pool. Through the introduction of innovative bridging solutions, the platform seeks to offer this functionality, including support for Metamask Snaps.</li></ul><ul><li>BRC-20 and Ordinals Support: Leveraging the Taproot integration, Qtum plans to introduce support for a BRC-20-like token standard and Ordinals in April 2024. This expansion into NFTs and token standards highlights Qtum&#39;s adaptability and potential for unique DeFi and Web3 applications. This builds on Qtum&#39;s ability to mint NFTs using ERC-721 and ERC-1155 standards, leveraging its UTXO blockchain foundation. The initiative includes developing tools, a &#34;QORD&#34; wallet for testnet, an Ordinals-friendly indexer, blockchain explorer, and a user-friendly web interface to simplify inscriptions.</li></ul><ul><li>Qtum Core Enhancements: Continuous updates to Qtum Core to stay aligned with Bitcoin and Ethereum developments are planned. With over 40 updates since its 2017 launch, Qtum continues to integrate upstream enhancements from Bitcoin and Ethereum, ensuring code efficiency without redundancy.
