According to The Block, former executives from Apple, Google, Meta, Tesla and X joined the Worldcoin project, co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
It was stated that the executives were hired to strengthen Tools for Humanity's privacy, security, hardware and digital identity departments.
Former Apple, Meta and Tesla executive Rich Heley has joined the team as Worldcoin's Chief Device Officer, responsible for the design, performance and accessibility of the Orb, a hardware device developed by Tools for Humanity for iris scans.
Former Google Android Security Director Adrian Ludwig took office as Information Security Officer responsible for internal and external data security at Tools for Humanity.
Former Google executive Ajay Patel joins the company as Head of World Identity, leading the company's marketing strategy, public and private partnerships, and overall user experience. Patel previously led Google Payments' identity team.
Finally, former X executive Damien Kieran joined Worldcoin as the Privacy Officer of Tools for Humanity, after previously serving in a similar role at X.
