Reflecting on aarnâ’s first full calendar year in business, 2023 has been a real grind upwards, coincidentally both for aarnâ and the crypto markets. We celebrate our strides in building what we believe is the next iteration of how users will engage with, discover, manage &amp; grow their crypto or digital asset lifecycle, via DeFi asset management. While this would otherwise serve as the December update for aarnâ, we think it&#39;s appropriate to share an overview of the past year instead.<h2 id="header-0">Key Achievements of the Past Year</h2><h3 id="strong-product-development-advancements-strong">Product Development Advancements</h3>Throughout the year we have been shipping new features &amp; updates in the beta versions. We spent the first two quarters of the year head-down working on the aarnâ engine and preparing for our beta launch that was to go live during late summer of 2023. During this time we also significantly expanded our engineering team and are currently 11&#43; members strong developing aarnâ, not to mention five awesome interns from top colleges.&gt; aarnâ AI is core to the alpha discovery protocol architecture of aarnâ, and our small AI team doubled down  during the first three quarters to ship our baseline [alpha 30/7] model, which is an ensemble machine learning model that predicts top short-term tokens. Extensive featurization based on technical &amp; financial metrics, and social sentiment was used to train the baseline model.&gt; We launched the beta for both the aarnâ engine and the aarnâ AI subscription service in August 2023. The three-month beta period turned out to be a success, with over 5,000 users trying the platform and providing valuable feedback for further iterations towards product-market-fit.&gt; aarnâ tokenization platform: Post beta we went back into development mode, partly focusing on integrating all the feedback points received from our community but also with an intense focus on finalizing our tokenization engine, which we believe will serve as a key differentiating factor for aarnâ along with aarnâ AI. aarnâ’s tokenization platform comprises seven smart contracts, and they went through preliminary security audit at the end of the year and were deployed on testnet, followed by trial mainnet deployment and testing, which is currently underway.We’re happy to announce that â_fi vaults will be going live soon in the first quarter now. We’re running a tad behind schedule on this, but security and optimization of the smart contracts is a priority for us. â_fi vaults will be launched on Ethereum and Arbitrum.All-in-all we had a great year on the product-front and we’re looking forward to 2024 when we will finally be able to gear up towards a full roll out of the protocol, and into an aggressive growth phase.<h3 id="strong-strategic-initiatives-and-partnerships-strong">Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships</h3>We started the year out strong with our engagement at Paris Blockchain Week, where we hosted a side event with panels on the decoupling of Bitcoin and DeFi 2.0 and the convergence of DeFi and NFTs. Our teams also participated in Dubai Blockchain Week during March, and in Token 2049 in Singapore during August forming partnerships with industry leaders, building community relationships, and finalizing tech collaborations.&gt; aarnâ DAO is a core part of the protocol, not just from a governance perspective, but also in decentralized alpha creation (or optimized return crypto / DeFi strategies), via our alpha creator program, and also in how we envision the progressive open-sourcing &amp; decentralization of aarnâ AI.Our DAO got off to a solid start with Sri Misra, aarnâ’s founder, striking long term partnerships with two highly credible &amp; responsible OGs - <a href="https://twitter.com/SimonDingle" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Simon Dingle</a> and <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/nitin-gaur-75571a9" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Nitin Gaur</a>, both becoming inaugural members of  aarnâ DAO. Simon is an experienced fintech entrepreneur and investor that has been working with bitcoin for over a decade, and Nitin is the current head of digital assets at State Street and previous director of digital assets at IBM.Towards the end of the year we were also able to solidify our partnership with the Arbitrum foundation, one of the strongest brands in the DeFi space. It should come as no surprise, as we will be deploying our tokenization engine onto Arbitrum during Q1 2024.&gt; Community Engagement and Growth: The launch of our referral program and the early user rewards program have been instrumental in building a strong, engaged community. Our focus on rewarding genuine user contribution has resonated well with our audience. To delight our more technically inclined community members we also started a newsletter, Alpha Unhashed, where we have covered more advanced topics from DeFi risk management to token design. Followed immediately by the launch of our four flagship crypto structured product vaults. We aim to broaden our user base, targeting top crypto users, and also bringing new users in.&gt; Our community and team’s role in shaping aarnâ&#39;s future cannot be overstated. From beta testing to participating in alpha creation, our users&#39; active involvement remains a cornerstone of our development and the progressive decentralization of aarnâ protocol through aarnâ DAO. Engaging with our community on Discord, Telegram and Twitter has fostered a strong bond with our user base and we will continue to do so, maybe cooking up some live events for 2024. We’re actively looking at bringing on board credible crypto experts and blockchain AI specialists and growing aarnâ DAO in the first quarter.Building a high quality team has been a key focus for Sri, and we’re proud of the buzzing tech team we have at aarnâ lab in India, along with two deep experts who are senior executives in AI and systems architecture, who have been collaborating with our team and he development of aarnâ engine over the last two years. This year, we would be focusing on not only strengthening the tech team further, but also building out our business &amp; growth team in Singapore, as well as remotely across the world.&gt; aarnâ’s seed round: After being bootstrapped for over 18 months and building out the product with continuous market research &amp; user interaction with almost 100 users, and then a beta launch of the platform, followed by the first security audit of our tokenization platform initial.  We’re also hugely excited with the awesome cap table that is shaping up in aarnâ’s seed round, which commenced in November, and we’re nearly halfway there and have already raised $1mn. We’re in multiple discussions and look forward to closing the round in the first quarter.&gt; 2024 is a big year. This year was just the start for aarnâ protocol.
