<p>In traditional sports betting, there are different odds for different events and users stake a desired amount of money to bet on the occurrence of those events. In case the bet becomes successful, users get a return which is the multiple of total odds and the amount of stake.</p><p>Better offers the same experience, with eliminating the possibility of losing money when a user’s bet turns out to be unsuccessful. Better users don’t need to stake any amount of money on Better in order to make a valid bet. Users are rewarded daily with a certain amount, which depends on the quality and quantity of the NFTs that the user holds. These NFTs are named as the “Fan Cards”. Fan Cards can be purchased from the in-game Marketplace. Every Fan Card is unique and has different attributes such as Performance, Luck, Support, Durability; and different rarity levels which are Rookie, Epic, Champion, Legend.</p><p>This is what makes Better unique, with Better, users can have the same experience as traditional sports betting, without losing any money. In the end, multiplication of these two factors determines your possible <strong>BTB</strong> or <strong>BFF</strong> earnings. If you want to improve your staking amount on your bets, you need to improve your NFTs’ quality by upgrading the fan card you hold. Meanwhile, if you want to increase your daily betting limit, you need to increase the number of Fan Card NFTs that you hold. At the end of the day, in case your bets become successful, you will earn BTB or BFF tokens depending on your Fan Cards. Otherwise, you can come and try the next day when your daily bet limit is renewed.</p><h2 id="header-1"><strong>Our Aim</strong></h2><p>In traditional sports betting, centralized platforms stand as a middleman between the users and the sports world. And to be honest, they make profit over users’ losses and give almost nothing back to the sports industry. Better takes advantage of web3 and takes out these middlemen from the ecosystem, making it a decentralized ecosystem.
