The World App is the first Worldcoin wallet designed to bring digital identity and global finance to users worldwide.
As the exclusive global off-ramp provider for WLD, Ramp will play a crucial role in supporting <a href="https://financefeeds.com/worldcoins-tools-for-humanity-deploys-options-technologys-scalable-cloud-solutions/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Worldcoin's mission</a> to provide everyone with access to the global economy. World App users in applicable regions will be able to easily convert their WLD into fiat currency, initially through debit and credit cards, with more payout options to come in the future.
Worldcoin, launched in July, aims to create an <a href="https://financefeeds.com/dwf-labs-doubles-down-on-conflux-with-28-million-invested/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">inclusive digital economy</a> by providing users with a secure and privacy-enhancing digital verification of their uniqueness and humanity through a World ID. World IDs are stored on users' phones, and the World App has garnered 4.1 million users worldwide, with 2.4 million holding Orb-verified World IDs.
Ramp CEO Szymon Sypniewicz said they are now providing on and off-ramping services to millions of people and contributing to Worldcoin's mission.
"We’re incredibly proud to provide our on and off-ramping services to millions of people to enable the seamless conversion of their WLD into fiat. Moreover, we’re excited to contribute to Worldcoin’s mission to create a more accessible, human-centric digital economy, and we’re looking forward to continuing to build on this partnership,” added Sypniewicz.
Ramp previously made headlines by becoming the first global <a href="https://financefeeds.com/direct-crypto-on-ramps-promise-to-change-the-game-for-web3-dapps/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">crypto on-ramp provider</a> to offer direct purchases of WLD to users where the token is available. With this partnership, Ramp now enables two-way conversions between WLD and fiat, further enhancing the accessibility of digital assets for individuals globally.
Tiago Sada, head of product at Tools for Humanity, a contributor to the Worldcoin Project, highlighted the alignment of Ramp's global footprint and user-friendly experience with the inclusive design of World App.
“Ramp’s global footprint combined with its consumer-friendly UX, complement the intentional and inclusive design of World App. Bringing the capabilities that Ramp provides to World App and holders of Orb-verified World IDs, helps individuals globally experience increased financial freedom and access,” he concluded.
