In a significant development on March 29, 2024, SingularityNET announced a proposed merger with Fetch.ai and Ocean Protocol to form the Artificial Super Intelligence Alliance. This merger aims to combine the strengths of the three projects into a single unified AI project with a new coin called ASI. Following approval from both AGIX and FET coin holders, the merger was initiated in May 2024, allowing AGIX, FET, and OCEAN coin holders to swap their coins for ASI coins at predetermined rates. Notably, AGIX coin holders can swap 1 AGIX coin for 0.433350 ASI coins, with no set deadline for this conversion. 
The vision of the Artificial Super Intelligence Alliance includes staking features for the ASI coin, although details about this initiative have not yet been disclosed.
