<p><a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@ahoufe_/video/7216341485271272709?lang=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ahuofe Abrantie,</a> the Ghanaian comic who rose to fame for his viral videos on TikTok, has died.</p>



<p>In a video posted on TikTok, the popular Kumasi-based rapper <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@real_jaybahd1/video/7216264464595815686?lang=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jay Bhad</a>, a fixture in the Asakaa Boys scene, confirmed his death. <em>&#8220;Life too short, rest well Ahuofe, you gone (sic) be miss 4ever. Rest well, Ahuofe,&#8221;</em> he posted on TikTok. </p>

<p>TV3 Ghana also confirmed the death of the Tik Tok sensation with his video and a caption that read, “Popular Ghanaian Tik Toker, Ahuofe reportedly dead.”</p>



<p>The news came only hours after Ahuofe was live on <a href="https://technext24.com/2022/12/08/nigeria-tiktokers-topcreator2022-award/">TikTok</a>.</p>

<p>Ahuofe had become popular on the short video content platform garnering four million followers in recent months for dressing like the famous American rapper Tupac which allowed fans to dub him the Tupac of Ghana.</p>

<p>On his TikTok, he embodied the American gangster life of the early aught, rocking bandanas and staring into the camera menacingly. This led to fans showering him with over 40 million likes over time.</p>



<p>A few hours after the news of his death, a new video, an excerpt from a Bible verse, was posted on Ahoufe&#8217;s page. </p>

<p><em>&#8220;It&#8217;s normal. Nothing matters anymore. It&#8217;s now between him and his maker. We all gonna leave this world behind. Live a good life,&#8221;</em> another user posted.</p>

<p>At the time of reporting, it wasn&#8217;t clear what the cause of his death was.</p>



<p>Ahoufe died in his Kumasi apartment in the early hours of Thursday.</p>
