Nissan recently filed four new Web3-related trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, covering its Infiniti, Nismo, and Nissan brands. Meanwhile, its Japan unit is experimenting with auto sales in the metaverse. According to the USPTO filings, Nissan plans to create virtual items such as clothes, headgear, trading cards, toys, and tickets. It also plans to launch an NFT marketplace for trading and minting NFTs.
