<p>Legends,</p><p><strong>Welcome to 2023!</strong></p><p>We are thrilled for this new year and for the new and exciting opportunities that lie ahead for us as a team and as a community.</p><p>Indeed, the year 2022 was a head-scratcher for the entire crypto community, but for us at LOCGame, it was an opportunity to keep building, and we seized it.</p><p>We are proud of the strides we have made and our many victories, and for all the times we missed a step, we took that as a sincere lesson.</p><p>We are grateful for your support as a community. We took your positive criticisms and feedback, and now we’re glad to share with you our milestones as we look back on the year that was in 2022.</p><p>Game Releases</p><h2 id="header-0"><strong><em>Season 0: Apollo Release</em></strong></h2><p>Last year, one thing was our top priority: game development. Following up on the previous Alpha 2.0 version, we resolved to have the first playable version of the game. In May 2022, we launched the first major game release in <a href="https://www.locgame.io/season-0" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Season 0</a>, aka the Apollo Heights Season. In the Apollo release, our community was introduced to two new game modes: PvP-friendly mode and PvP Tour.</p><p>As the community took to testing and playing in Season 0, we decided to update the game design. With a new UX/UI, we also introduced new interactive visual effects, in-game tutorials, and more. More importantly, we fixed the bugs and improved the player&#39;s overall gaming experience.</p><h2 id="header-1"><strong><em>Awakening Season</em></strong></h2><p>Our next major release of the year came in September 2022, the <a href="https://earlyaccess.locgame.io/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Awakening season</a>. In the Awakening season, we implemented the Metamask Login, the play-to-earn mechanism, friendly matches that let you play against friends in wager mode or for free, and Arena PvP games to test your skills against other players.</p><h2 id="header-2"><strong><em>Mobile Release</em></strong></h2><p>We ended the year on a high note with the release of the highly anticipated mobile version of Android. Now, all Android users can enjoy the game <a href="https://www.locgame.io/legends-of-crypto-holiday-nft-sale" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">here</a>.</p><h2 id="header-3"><em>Partnerships &amp; Campaigns</em></h2><p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*mCKT9bQkIvtSJCec" /></p><p>Last year, to foster our growth in the ecosystem, we secured multiple partnerships.</p><h3 id="strong-designers-celebrities-strong"><strong>Designers &amp; Celebrities</strong></h3><p>We partnered with several world-famous designers, including Prada, Burberry, Moschino, Etro, and Dsquared to launch “The Wolves of Crypto” NFT collection. We also collaborated with the well-known DJ Soda on the DJ Soda exclusive NFT packs.</p><h3 id="strong-guilds-and-web3-platforms-strong"><strong>Guilds and Web3 Platforms</strong></h3><p>We secured partnerships with many key web3 industry players, including <a href="https://twitter.com/LOCgameio/status/1482108923628998657?s&#61;20" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Unfettered </a>Games,<a href="https://locgame.medium.com/were-in-partnership-with-infinity-force-828114463086" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> Infinity Force</a>, <a href="https://locgame.medium.com/were-in-partnership-with-earn-guild-8cea30d5aeeb" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Earn Guild</a>, <a href="https://locgame.medium.com/official-announcement-partnership-with-rainmaker-games-d13651447a09" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">RainMaker Games</a>, <a href="https://locgame.medium.com/introducing-token-play-our-new-partner-dec8a1ff2f3f" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Token Play,</a> and <a href="https://funjible.games/games/Legends-Of-Crypto" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Funjible Games</a>. And to kickstart 2023, we are excited to announce a new partnership with Tofu NFT, the largest multichain NFT marketplace. Through this partnership, you can now buy your favourite LOCGame cards (the new and OG characters) from our verified profile on the <a href="https://tofunft.com/collection/locgame/items" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">platform</a>.</p><h3 id="strong-campaigns-strong"><strong>Campaigns</strong></h3><p>Last year, we ran several campaigns aimed at engaging and rewarding our community for their support and participation. Some of these campaigns were; the <a href="https://locgame.medium.com/play-loc-game-for-massive-rewards-now-3328764252d" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Tube to Earn campaign</a>, the <a href="https://locgame.medium.com/were-launching-the-season-0-staking-pool-dfb7d740a462" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Apollo Height Staking program</a> and the<a href="https://medium.com/&#64;locgame/the-iris-opening-campaign-is-here-763a05752977" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> Iris Card Opening campaign</a> in the Awakening season.</p><h2 id="header-4"><em>Music</em></h2><p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*LRoeB3Kucmfif_pc" /></p><p>We also dipped our feet into music-making with our <a href="https://open.spotify.com/album/7EQHMtBlTyHhtE6Ur7wKYw" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ground Zero</a> music album containing the 7 soundtracks of our favourite LCOGame characters. You can enjoy our soundtracks <a href="https://fanlink.to/locgameseason0" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">here</a>.</p><h2 id="header-5"><em>Marketplace</em></h2><p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*YHRFQwj0d83I7v_g" /></p><p>Just like our game, our <a href="https://market.locgame.io/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">marketplace</a> also underwent several updates and redesigns. We made it possible to make purchases seamlessly using <a href="https://twitter.com/LOCgameio/status/1479745307424477187?s&#61;20" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Eth, </a>USDT, and Paypal for fiat payments. Currently, our <a href="https://locgame.medium.com/locgame-guide-how-to-buy-list-and-sell-your-nft-cards-on-locg-marketplace-6da3bf097e43" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">community members can trade their cards with other users on our marketplace</a>. In 2023, our Marketplace will host the first land sale for the upcoming Cryptise Metaverse city.</p><h2 id="header-6"><em>Events</em></h2><p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*VNikY9Bv-wo5o7RD" /></p><p>Last year, we had the privilege to attend several crypto and blockchain events, advancing the message of LOCGame and completing important partnerships. We attended the WOW Summit in Dubai and Lisbon, the <a href="https://twitter.com/LOCgameio/status/1504794255709163529" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">GDC Conference in San Francisco</a>, <a href="https://twitter.com/LOCgameio/status/1512032752719130628?s&#61;20&amp;t&#61;Jdx2YYrVFJT-SOomGQ6XFw" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">DeFi </a>Day, the <a href="https://twitter.com/LOCgameio/status/1529022663179509761?s&#61;20&amp;t&#61;a92pFtpOOaiEdMM_IqbPRA" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Asia Metaverse Conference</a>, the <a href="https://twitter.com/LOCgameio/status/1600864409311928324" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Global Metaverse Carnival</a>, and the prestigious <a href="https://twitter.com/LOCgameio/status/1590686295206285313" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Web Summit</a> in Lisbon. At the Web Summit, we held an exhibition booth of our products and were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and excitement of everyone who stopped by our booth to try out our games.</p><p>We closed the year with a nomination for the European Blockchain Awards in Barcelona. This January, we were named one of the <a href="https://twitter.com/EBlockchainCon/status/1610975577925623811?s&#61;20&amp;t&#61;ggh_RF0FVfdm0E3DGacOQA" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">top 10 blockchain startups</a> in Europe and will be pitching at the live event in February.</p><p>We will also be live at the <a href="https://twitter.com/EBlockchainCon/status/1610975577925623811?s&#61;20&amp;t&#61;ggh_RF0FVfdm0E3DGacOQA" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Miami Expoverse</a> in February. Our CEO, Mik Mironov, will be speaking, and we will be exhibiting our games in our booth!</p><h2 id="header-7"><em>NFT Sales &amp; New Packs</em></h2><p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*uLP09ikp8K2wuxnJ" /></p><h3 id="strong-apollo-edition-nft-sale-strong"><strong>Apollo Edition NFT Sale</strong></h3><p>For the Apollo Edition in May 2022, we released nine new NFT packs and two new levels of card rarity: Super- Elite and Legendary. During the Apollo Sale, the most-wanted Wolf of Crypto packs were made in collaboration with designers from Prada, Burberry, Moschino, Etro, and Dsquared.</p><h3 id="strong-awakening-season-nft-sale-strong"><strong>Awakening Season NFT Sale</strong></h3><p>For the Awakening Release, we launched two new packs, the <a href="https://market.locgame.io/products/63330357210792d08d096b88" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Starter Pack </a>and Story Mode pack, along with a very unique and valuable character — <a href="https://www.locgame.io/heroes/iris" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Iris</a>- who was providing early access to the Awakening Season. The Starter Pack contains 15 new cards and characters to get new gamers to start playing. The Story mode contains five new cards and characters as well. The Awakening packs were the first to be listed on the in-game store.</p><h3 id="strong-black-friday-and-holiday-nft-sales-strong"><strong>Black Friday and Holiday NFT Sales</strong></h3><p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*skuBSxUzjddqaVzR" /></p><p>In November 2022, we held our first-ever Black Friday NFT sale. The Black Friday sale was followed by the ongoing Christmas <a href="https://market.locgame.io/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Holiday NFT sale</a>. During the Holiday sale, we launched two new packs: the Mega Pack and the Dark Night Pack. The Holiday Sale is still ongoing on the <a href="https://market.locgame.io/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">marketplace</a>.</p><h2 id="header-8"><em>LOCG token &#64; 1</em></h2><p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/1*BfqTjhzn2NgGUdYP9Rm2QQ.png" /></p><p>In 2022, our $LOCG token turned 1. This was an important milestone in our journey, and we look forward to marking many more anniversaries.
